350+ new hires in a year. One AI baseline, built into onboarding.

- New-hire onboarding

Vanta makes security and compliance automation software, and its people are further ahead on AI than most. The challenge is growth. The company is adding more than 350 people over the next year, and each one arrives at a different level.
Inside Vanta, people learned AI by trial and error, which works for a small company and gets harder as it grows. AI readiness had been one of the lowest-scoring parts of new-hire onboarding.
So 15 Days of AI is part of onboarding. Around week four, every new joiner is enrolled in a cohort with the people who started alongside them: two short lessons a week, alongside the job, with their AI skill measured at the start and the end.
